Financial planning doesn’t have to be a confusing process. See how we simplify it for you.

  • This is our ‘discovery’ meeting where we discuss your financial position and your future financial goals.

    It’s a cost-free discussion that entails us getting to know you, and you getting to know us.

    At this meeting we find out what you want to achieve with your finances and when you want to achieve these goals.

    We will work with you to discern what needs to be done to help you reach your goals. Maybe you just need some encouragement to maintain your current course of action!

    Our fee structure will also be discussed at this initial contact meeting.

    You can expect this initial meeting to last about an hour, and you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the road ahead.   

  • After our initial meeting, should you wish to engage with Featherby Financial Planning, we will schedule a second meeting where we will get down to business. You can expect to be in our office for two to three hours as we discuss your entire personal and financial situation in detail. This includes all assets, liabilities, income, spending and other financial aspects of your lifestyle.

    This meeting is essential for us to be advised of all financial details in order to prepare any future financial advice that you will receive from us.

    At this meeting we will also formulate a base strategy. This enables us to create a financial plan specifically designed for you. From here, we prepare your Statement of Advice (SoA) which we will review at our next meeting.

  • At this meeting, we present your statement of advice. Your Statement of Advice (SoA) outlines everything we have come to learn about you, and your goals and expectations. 

    The SoA also explains our recommendations and sets out how we put your strategy into action. This is an opportunity for us to discuss your strategy in detail, to make sure you understand it clearly and are comfortable to proceed.

    We want you to achieve what's important to you. So, with your permission, we get things moving and begin to implement the proposed recommendations.

  • Once our mutual plans are in place, the most-important aspect of our relationship begins.

    This means we are not just involved with your investments, but with your financial objectives and decision-making.

    With this in mind, we invite you to contact us as often as you wish, not just at our regular investment reviews.

    Here at Featherby Financial Planning, we consider ourselves as financial advisers, not just investment advisers, therefore we desire to be involved in all aspects of your financial decision-making.
